‘Muyeni’ is a Shona word meaning visitor. In our culture, we say “muyeni haapedzi dura”- a visitor never depletes what you have stored. Our name reflects our passion for sharing the wealth of knowledge, stories, and experiences we’ve gathered from the African wild with the daring traveler, our muyeni.

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Zimbabwe, Muyeni Resort & Safaris is a Destination Management Company (DMC) specializing in creating immersive safari experiences across Southern Africa. We design journeys that go beyond travel, connecting people, places, and purpose through the wonders of nature.

Within our DMC are several subsidiary brands offering value-added products and services in tourism and hospitality, including Famba Afrika Travel & Tours, established in 2011. As a 100% owner-run company, our friendly team of passionate professionals is committed to sharing the true African experience, nomuyeni (with the visitor).
